A Question for Femi Fani-Kayode

What is Femi Kayode trying to do? What is his bone of contention? The only major tribe we feel at home and comfortable with, the only place away from home we feel at home now is becoming an enemy too? "The Bitter Truth About The Igbos" is just a hate note, and we consider it an insult and a big blow to our friendship being painted with colours of discord and lies, posing us as corny people who are nothing but deadly parasites. Making it sound like we are of no Value to the country, citing the ugly incidents involving the igbos and leaving off the fact that us the igbos actually have done more for the country than the yorubas will ever do. You produced the first lawyer and doctor, so? What impact did it make in the country? By the way the first black writer ever was an Igbo man, waaaay before your lawyers and doctors. We produced a vice president after 10 years of being defeated in a civil war, so? Wasn't it a democratic installment? Or your hate for the igbos have now blinded your vast knowledge? Mentioning every other tribe and region in Nigeria and sucking up to them to build an ethnic barricade against the Igbos. To what end Sir Kayode, to what end? As an Aviation minister what did you do as a yoruba man? Tell me! Because I never heard one good thing you did. Whereas the Igbos appointed in various Ministries left heavy impact during the course of their duty, like of Soludo, Akunyili, Okonjo-Iweala, Madueke just to mention a few. What have the supreme tribe the yorubas done? Remember, this claim of supreme race brought about the 2nd world war, and I'm sure you recall the south African Apartied tied to racial discrimination, with your vast knowledge, I'm sure you know about the black history in America.
Point being, whoever you surpress can't stay surpressed forever. We have suffered this same hate from the north and we are still fighting it, and now the west too? We cannot become kunta kinte in our own country. We wanted to break away as Biafra, Nigeria resented it only for the two other major tribes to come back and push us to a corner again? What sort of oppression is that? And you sit down there with a pen writing and talking ill of our heros! Talking about them like they are rebels, creating hate among our ethnic brothers. Talking to our leaders in a disrespectful manner, because you read a part of history that favours you. The yorubas right from onset were never warriors, during the colonial inversion, every tribe and ethnic group fought against the opression of the white man except the yorubas. Names like Jaja of Opobo was from Ama Igbo, Amina the warrior queen of Zaria, Chief Nana Olumu of the Itsekiri Kingdom, Oba Obaravien of Benin the Ekumeku Resistant movement, a secret army of thousands of Igbo warriors, Mohammadu Atahiri the first among others. In all, there was not even a single yoruba name. Go to your history books and find out. We all fought for our people right from onset apart from the yorubas and now a yoruba wants to sow the seed of discord in a healing nation. I guess this shameful act will now put his name the social studies textbooks in primary schools. I doubt! The height of hate in the heart of a so called educated man. Stating we are trying to silence the yorubas and steal their lands, if I may ask, what lands? Or are you talking about lands indviduals bought personally maybe to erect a building to feel at home away from their tribe? Are those the lands we stole? You accuse us theft without proofs. Is that how you see us? Is that how the yorubas see the Igbos, as thieves instead of brothers? That we don't allow you come to the east, I never knew you needed visa to come to Enugu. In all, Femi Kayode is bent on making the whole country hate the Igbos, but he got one thing right, we fight battle after battle whether we loose or win, we can never sit back and watch our people be surpressed. No! We can't, as far as my knowledge goes, Igbos have never done anything to harm the yorubas consciously! So I ask him, sir Kayode, what do you want? Tell us in plain words? With all the essays you've written now, what do you want? You want all the Igbos to leave the country? Or since you said we've been a bad influence on the country we should all be exterminated? Or we should stop vying for political posts? Or we should stop travelling outside our region? Tell us your bone of contention?
