Don't disregard your parents to sell CDs!!

I constantly pay attention to musical lyrics when I hear songs play. Now I've got to notice something, errbody came from the bottom to the top, broke to riches, hungry to greedy, no food on the table bla bla bla... Do you have to lie to have a selling story?? Now let's analyze this... On another record, you'll hear same artiste praising their parents for being great parents... From experience, you can never be happy with parents that can't at least keep food on the table. And since your parents are great parents, at least they kept food on the table! So why say you never could afford 3 square meal in a day, just to have a touching story??
Making your parents look lazy and worthless! Officially, any parent that can't put food on the table is a lazy parent... Let's face facts! Forget sympathy or sentiments! You can feed your kids? You are not a good parent! Ok! Most of these artistes are graduates or still in school and we all know how much school fees in Nigeria is...even if its your uncle that's paying your school fees, its still within the family and he can't be paying school fees when you don't feed fine. Food, clothing and shelter come first before any other thing! But then y'all be busy talking ill of your endeavoring families to sell records. And before you blow, you have demo tapes...check! A session in the studio is 8k (small studios o!) Apart from producer's payment which is negotiable.. And you have like 3 demo tracks! Do the maths! If you are really as wretched as you paint it, 8k comes into ur pocket and studio session is d best way to spend it?? Smh "somebody lied"!! You don't have to lie and paint your family as wretched to get recognised!! Your talent, skills and hardwork is all that matters... See Davido, Lynxx, Naeto C, Ikechukwu, Sauce Kid, Goldie, fela, Asa, Onyeka Onwenu etc... Don't degrade your family to sell CDs there's no dignity in poverty!
